A few things to know before you visit
By booking a session, you’re agreeing to the below — thank you for helping us keep Shorties a safe, relaxed space for everyone.
Supervision
Shorties is a parent/carer supervised space, so little ones remain your responsibility throughout the session.
Please stay with your child at all times and keep an eye on them as they explore.
Mixed Age Play
We’ve got a mix of toys designed for different ages.
Shorties operates as a mixed-age play environment, so we ask that you use your judgement and guide your child’s play in a way that feels right (and safe) for them.
Play & Safety
We’ve taken care to create a safe and engaging space, but as with all play, there’s always a bit of risk.
By attending, you acknowledge this and agree to supervise your child to help keep play safe for everyone.
Food & Drink
No outside food or drink please.
Our café is open throughout, and we kindly ask that all food is enjoyed in the café seating areas rather than inside the play space.
If you or your child have allergies, please let the café team know before ordering — while care is taken, we can’t guarantee an allergen-free environment.
Health & Hygiene
If you or your child are unwell, please skip your session.
Shoes off in the play area (socks encouraged).
Bookings & Cancellations
- Bookings are non-refundable
- Sessions can be transferred with at least 12 hours’ notice
- If you’re unable to attend and don’t transfer in time, the booking will be lost
We recommend booking in advance, but walk-ins are welcome if space allows.
No-Shows
If you don’t attend your session and haven’t transferred it in advance, unfortunately the booking cannot be refunded or moved.
Photography
You’re very welcome to take photos of your own children, but please be mindful of others in the space.
The Toy Spa
If a toy has been chewed, sucked, mouthed or become grubby during play, please place it in the Toy Spa bucket so we can give it an extra good clean before returning it to the toy area.
Liability
While we take care to provide a safe environment, all play is undertaken at your own risk.
By attending, you accept responsibility for your child’s supervision and wellbeing during the session.
